Coldplay Wants You To Have A Merry Christmas

Christmas songs are pretty much always covers, unless they're originally written like GaGa's "Christmas Tree." So really, they can run the gamut from really good to cheesier than Velveeta. Anyone that knows me can tell you I'm a total scrooge for Christmas music and don't usually like hearing it unless it IS Christmas, and if it's good.

Peace On Earth

For college students across the country, the first two or three weeks in December bring the seemingly insurmountable mountain of final exams, papers and payback for all of that sinfully sweet procrastination. Know that there is a joyous time waiting for us all. It's the holidays, and believe it or not, they'll be here in a few weeks!


West Site Story of the Twitter Age

This is a little bit different, because I've never talked about a musical before. And it's not a traditional cover, because it's a spoof on a bunch of different songs. But Leonard Bernstein's "West Side Story" is one of the most popular musicals on Broadway.

It Might Get Awesome

Some great documentaries have been produced this decade, like Trouble the Water, which took us inside Hurricane Katrina through the devastating home videos of a couple who weathered the storm in New Orleans.
